June E. Marks June 30, 1924 - January 29, 2017 South Bend – June E. Marks, 92, of South Bend, passed away at the Center for Hospice Care, South Bend, on January 29, 2017 after a short illness. Born on June 30, 1924 in South Bend, she was the youngest daughter of Clyde J. and Agnes P. (Clabaugh) Marks. When she was 6 years old the family moved from South Bend to a farm south of Plymouth. June grew up there and graduated from Plymouth’s Lincoln High School in 1942. She moved back to South Bend after graduation and started working for the Oliver Farm Equipment Company in 1946. She worked in various areas for the company and later retired from White Motor Corporation in 1985. June loved to travel with her sister Helen, they made many trips around the country. For many years she taught Sunday school to the primary children at Ridgedale Presbyterian Church. June is survived by a niece, Melanie (Bruce) Spychalski of Petoskey, MI; nephews, Thomas Marks of South Bend, David (Doris) Kelly of Niles, MI and Larry (Marcie) Kelly of Stevensville, MI. She also leaves her sister-in-law, Margery Marks; many great and great-great nieces & nephews and many cousins. Preceding her in death are her parents, Clyde and Agnes Marks; sisters, Helen Chizum and Marvel Kelly; and a brother, Harold Marks. Per June's wishes no service will be held and burial will take place at a later date. ST. JOSEPH FUNERAL HOME, 824 S. Mayflower Rd., South Bend, Indiana 46619 is assisting the family.
