Norma Pauline Treadaway Obituary

Norma Pauline Treadaway, age 89, died peacefully at home on the family farm West of Minco, OK on Sunday, January 29, 2017 surrounded by her loving family. She was born in the Lake Valley community to Dick and Jessie (Bottom) Canterberry. She grew up in Western Oklahoma and moved to Oklahoma City as a teenager. She had lived in Germany, New Mexico, Texas before returning to the Oklahoma City area where she lived until 1958 when she and her family moved to the family farm and ranch West of Minco, where she lived until her passing. She was preceded in death by her parents and her husband Charlie. Survivors include two sons David Bruce Treadaway and wife Rita and Dusty Paul Treadaway and wife Mary all of the farm West of Minco, six grandchildren and sixteen great grandchildren. Also by two brothers Murl Canterberry of Ellensburg, WA, Richard Canterberry of Oklahoma City, three sisters Zoma Banther and husband Jim of Warr Acres, LaVena Whiteley and husband Frank of Yukon and Glenna Penick and husband Lee of Rush Springs. The family wishes to extend a special thank you to the Staff of Lifeline Hospice of Chickasha and three very special caregivers, Caroline Williams, Teresa Powers and Janice Owens. Services will be held at 2pm on Thursday, February 2, 2017 at the First Baptist Church, Pocasset, OK with Rev. David Treadaway officiating. Interment will follow in Friendship Cemetery under the direction of McNeil’s Funeral Service, Mustang, Oklahoma.
