WALLACE - Mr. Brown, an Army Veteran, passed peacefully on Thursday. Funeral service will be held at 2:00 PM on Friday, December 28, from St John Missionary Baptist Church. Interment will follow at Duplin Memorial Gardens of Teachey with military honors.
A native of Duplin County, Mr. Brown was the son of the late Baston and Annie Lofton Brown. He is survived by his children, Nelson (Mary) Wrght, Ronnie Robinson, Laverne Brown, Roy Brown, Gracie Brown, Terry Brown and Rachel Brown; sisters, Mallie Brown, Vencia Williams and Thelma James, brother, Washington (DC) Brown, seventeen grandchildren, thirty six great grandchildren, four great-great-grandchildren; dear friend, William Edward (Bud) Williams. He was preceded in death by his wife, Annie Louise Brown, son, Christopher Brown, siblings, Matthew Brown, Luvenia Brown Rhodes, Floyetta Sarborough, Lossie Shore, Alberta James, Clemon Brown and Willie Albert Brown.
The Family will receive friends at Matthews Funeral Chapel on Thursday after 5:00 PM.
