Born Edna Eccles, she grew up on a farm in Consul, Saskatchewan in the 30&rsquo;s. Edna married the love of her life, Fred Grundy when she was only 17. They had 3 children Lance, Lawrence and Laura. In the late 1960&rsquo;s the family moved to Wetaskiwin, Alberta where Edna worked at the hospital and they raised their family. From there she moved to Fort St. John BC and also worked at the hospital. She made many friends along the way and was very social. Edna &amp; Fred settled in Rimbey, Alberta in the later years of their life. Edna loved bingo, playing cards, playing marbles and putting puzzles together. She also loved to watch curling and was a huge Toronto Blue Jays fan. Edna enjoyed camping at Medicine Lake as well as going for walks. She has her angel wings and has gone home to meet Fred, Laura &amp; other family members. Her laugh, smiles and humour will be greatly missed by all.</span></span></p> <p><span style="font-family:lucida sans unicode,lucida grande,sans-serif;"><span style="font-size:16px;">In lieu of flowers donations can be made to the Rimbey Care Center P.O. November 22, 1934 - May 1,2020

 

We are saddened to announce the passing of Edna Margery May Grundy who was born in Vidora, Saskatchewan on November 22,1934. Born Edna Eccles, she grew up on a farm in Consul, Saskatchewan in the 30’s. Edna married the love of her life, Fred Grundy when she was only 17. They had 3 children Lance, Lawrence and Laura.
