Brent Bratland Obituary

BRATLAND

Brent Arnold Bratland was born in Wetaskiwin, Alberta the third of Elizabeth and Eric Bratland’s four sons.  He passed away at the Red Deer Regional hospital on May 7, 2020 after a brief illness with his son Dustin and wife Trudy by his side and son Tanner with them in heart and spirit.

He is survived by Trudy, his loving wife of 48 years, sons Tanner and Dustin as well as three grandsons, Kelty, Seth and Karter Bratland, their mother Lisa, three brothers Al (Gloria), Garry (Lynne) and John (Kathy), Sister in Law, Tami Albach (Terry),  brother in Law Rick Sjolie, Uncle David Muirhead (Pat), Aunt Joan Tiede (Ralph) and many nieces and nephews.  Family was very important to Brent as he was to them and we will all miss him dearly.

Brent became the District Agent for Northwestern Utilities in Rimbey in 1982 and lived here until his passing.  He was involved in the community in many ways serving as a member of the Rimbey Curling Club, Minor Hockey, supporting the slow pitch community, the Camrose Legion, Rimbey Golf Club and helping friends and family in any way that he could.  A thank you and appreciation was all that he required as payment for the many ways he helped out.

After retiring in 2006, he enjoyed camping, golfing and spending time with friends and family.  We know that he left us far too soon and will cherish his memory forever.
