Tina M. Johnson, age 48, of Winona. She was born December 23, 1971 in Fort Riley, Kansas, and after a long journey with cancer she passed away peacefully at home with her family by her side on April 16, 2020.

Tina is survived by her parents; Dennis and Chris Johnson; her son, Taylor Bublitz; her ex husband and dear friend, Randy Bublitz; a brother, Ron Johnson (Terese Brown Smith); two sisters: Sheila Johnson (Jeff Link) and Tarrie Hornberg (Todd); nieces and nephews: Shae Tenhouse-Johnson, Abby Tenhouse Johnson, Chelsea Merchlewitz, Karley (Brady Brink), Hunter Hornberg, and Orian Hornberg; grand-niece, Keelyn; grand-nephew, Dryver; and numerous aunts and uncles. She was preceded in death by her paternal grandparents Edward and Georgia Johnson and maternal grandparents Daniel and Leona Kujak, Sr.

Tina lived a colorful life led by her sassy, spunky, and loving personality. She was a beautiful person with a big heart who always had a smile on her face. Her generosity, selflessness, and compassion were among her greatest traits. Even in her hardest days, she turned her attention to others.

Tina lived life to the fullest. She had a deep love for her family, friends, and dogs: D’artagnan, Niki, and Tootsie. Tina was a talented artist who created amazing sketches as well. One of her biggest accomplishments was completing Drug Court. She enjoyed playing cribbage; left, right, & center; dice & card games; scratching lottery tickets; and listening to Classic Rock. Tina could always be found outside, sunning, swimming, barbecuing, and having fun. Being active was her thing and that was how she lived her life up until her last day. Her bravery was unparalleled, and she faced every day fearlessly.

A special thanks to all of her caregivers, medical personnel, and palliative care & hospice heroes especially Verona, MaryBeth, and Sheila.

A memorial service in Tina’s honor will be held at a later date.

We love and miss you! Rest easy, find peace, be pain free, spread your wings, and fly high sweet Tina!
