Noah Allen Thames Obituary

Noah Allen Thames, age 19, of Johns Creek, lost his battle with brain cancer on May 9, 2020. A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date. Noah was born in Atlanta on June 1, 2000, and was a member of the First Baptist Church of Duluth. Noah graduated from Chattahoochee High School and received a standing ovation when he walked across the stage with assistance from his wrestling coach to receive his diplomas. One of Noah's dreams was to become a Survival Evasion Resistance Escape (SERE) Guide in the Air Force. This dream was shattered with the cancer diagnosis, but he never let that take his smile and loving nature away. Noah was an avid hunter and fisherman that didn't let anything keep him from his outdoor hunting adventures. Noah was our angel on earth that couldn't stay very long in this troubled world. His spirit soared on earth for all to see, and he is now soaring in heaven waiting for us to join him. We find peace in knowing he is now eternally healed. He is survived by his mother and step-father, Sandra and Tony Jones; father, David Thames of Perry, GA; sisters, Jade Thames of Woodstock and Elizabeth Jones of Johns Creek; brother, Zachary Jones of Austin, TX; grandparents, Wayne and Pearl Bass of Roberta, GA, Ted and Frances Thames of Perry, GA and Tony and Dot Jones of Fayetteville, GA; several aunts, uncles, cousins, and dear friends.
