Glennon Joseph Brinker was born January 29, 1935 in Washington; son of the late Othmar P. Brinker and wife, Agnes Lutomski Brinker. He passed away Sunday, January 29, 2017 at the age of 82 years. He received his education at St. Francis Borgia Grade School. On May 4, 1957, Glennon was united in marriage to Miss Rita Voss at St. Ann Church in Clover Bottom. They made their home in the Krakow area. Glennon worked for many years as a sheet metal worker. Glennon was a member of St. Gertrude Church, Sheet Metal Worker’s Local #36, and was a volunteer fireman with Washington Fire Department for 20+ years. Glennon loved to play golf and enjoyed working in his garden. He was preceded in death by one grandchild, Caleb Obermark; and four siblings, Maurice Brinker, in infancy, Vernon Brinker, Euthalia Duncan, and Jerome Brinker. He is survived by his wife, Rita Brinker of Washington; six children, Debra Gildehaus and husband, Scott of Washington, Darrell Brinker and wife, Anita of Washington, Randy Brinker and wife, Brenda of Washington, Maurice “Moe” Brinker and wife, Karen of Washington, Patrick Brinker and wife, Kathy of Washington, and Michael Brinker and wife, Lisa of Washington; 13 grandchildren, 13 great grandchildren, one brother, Othmar Brinker and wife, Verlin of Washington; three brothers-in-law, Ross Duncan of Defiance, MO, Norbert Voss of Washington, and Othmar Voss and wife, Mary of Washington; one sister-in-law, Dorothy Kleekamp and husband, Justin of Washington; many other relatives, and friends. Funeral Mass will be celebrated Wednesday, February 1, 2017 at 11 AM at St. Gertrude Church in Krakow. Burial in the church cemetery. Memorials preferred to St. Gertrude School or Church or Grace's Place.
