Melissa Leann Lester, 29 years of age of Paynesville, WV, passed away Sunday, January 29, 2017 in Pikeville Medical Center, after a courageous battle with diabetes. Born September 16, 1987 in Bluefield, WV, she was the daughter of Ruben Lester of Jolo, WV and the late Birdie Ellen Johnson Lester. Melissa enjoyed being outdoors and riding horses. She was a loving daughter, sister and aunt. In addition to her father Ruben Lester of Jolo, WV, she was survived by her sisters Tasha Graham and husband Matthew, Sharon Rowe and husband Dwayne, Angie Mullins and husband Rayburn all of Jolo, WV, Debbie Tate and husband Wayne of Wytheville, VA, Scarlet Chaffins and husband Kevin of Montana; brothers Louie Lester and wife Rose, Danny Ray Lester and wife Tabitha, Randy Lester and wife LeeAnn all of Paynesville, WV, Brandon Lester of SC. She is also survived by her special companion Dustin Mullins of Jolo, WV, twenty-three nieces and nephews and several friends. Funeral service for Melissa Leann Lester will be conducted at the Mary Lou Old Regular Baptist Church on Panther Ridge Road, Paynesville, WV, Wednesday, February 1, 2017 at 12:00 noon with Elder Philip Estep and Elder Gary Estep officiating. Burial will follow in the Mullins Cemetery on Estep Ridge in Paynesville, WV. Active pallbearers will be her family and friends.
