Mildred Brookshire

Mrs. Mildred Brookshire, age 97, of Carrollton, Georgia passed away on Sunday, January 29, 2017 at her home surrounded by her children. She was born January 23, 1920 in Bowdon, Georgia, the daughter of the late Charles M. Boynton and the late Ada Mae Terrell Boynton. She was a homemaker and a member of Mt. Pleasant Baptist Church. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, James Lewis Brookshire; son, Jimmy Morrow; brothers: Olin Boynton, Glen Boynton, Charles Boynton, and Robert Boynton; sisters: Pauline Bentley and Trudy Boynton; and four grandchildren. Survivors include her children: Charles & Betty Morrow of Carrollton, Curtis Morrow of Madison, Florida, Larry Morrow of Lakeland, Florida; Judy Grizzard of Carrollton; Sandy & Jeff Heath of Douglasville, and Kay & J. W. Williams of Whitesburg; twenty-five grandchildren; and several great grandchildren. Funeral services will be conducted at 1:00 PM on Wednesday, February 1, 2017 from Martin & Hightower Heritage Chapel with Bro. Shane Roberson and Rev. Terry Norman officiating. Grandsons will serve as pallbearers. Interment will follow in Carroll Memory Gardens. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Tuesday, January 31, 2017 from 5:00 PM until 8:00 PM.
