Janet Ruth Thompson, 92, died on Saturday, Jan. 28, 2017 at First Health Hospice House and Palliative Care in Pinehurst, NC. She was born on July 18, 1924 in Bayonne, NJ to the late Charles and Gladys Smith. She lived in Green Bay, WI for 60 years and moved to Pinehurst, NC in 1988 with her husband, Loren Thompson, M.D., now deceased 6 years. She is survived by her 4 children and their spouses, Karen, Gail and Don Peterson, Loren and Charlotte Thompson, and Jim and Lana Thompson. She has 6 grandchildren (Sarah and Matt Peterson, Ali and Luke Thompson, and Conor and Regan Thompson) and 1 great grandchild, Lilliana Lopez. Funeral service will be held on Sat. Feb. 4, 2017 at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Pinehurst, NC.
