Bryce John Galgano Obituary

Auburn – On Sunday, January 22, 2017, Bryce Galgano departed our world to begin a new adventure in spirit. Bryce was born in Lewiston on October 24, 1991 to John and Lorraine Galgano. He grew up in Poland and attended Poland Regional High School. While there, was active in Varsity Basketball. He worked at various jobs, most recently for Concrete Craftsman Inc. Bryce was everyone’s friend. He had a heart of gold and was very caring, sensitive and funny. He loved his family, friends and his beagle, Bella which he rescued. He was a selfless person, always having empathy. Bryce was the life of the party, always being comical to create smiles. He enjoyed fishing on the bog in the canoe, snowboarding, playing disc golf, basketball with his family and friends, and playing Xbox with his brother, Brett. He also loved taking road trips with his stereo full blast, grinning ear to ear. He loved to push limits, living life with no fear or shame to its fullest, enjoying cliff diving at Smalls Falls. Recently, Bryce quoted “It all changed man, it was just yesterday, times was so ugly, and now I’m comfortable. I just only can thank God suddenly everything changed before my eyes, by my surprise.” Bryce is survived by his mother and her fiancée, Michael of Poland; his father of South Carolina; his stepmother, Joanne Galgano of Lewiston; sisters, Brandi Galgano of Lewiston, Bailey Galgano of New Gloucester, and Bri Galgano of Erwin, NC; his brother, Brett of Gray; maternal grandmother, Edna Jones of Poland; maternal grandfather, Norman Gellatly and his wife, Deb of Auburn; aunts, Evawn Young and husband, David of Poland, and Maggie Gellatly of Auburn; uncle, Doug Gellatly of Lisbon; cousins, Cassie Hafner of Oxford, Julien Figueroa of New Gloucester, Elijah Young of West Minot, and Brawn Young of Poland; several nieces and nephews; and his girlfriend, Erika Sobieraj, and his dog, Bella of Auburn. A celebration of life will be held from 2 to 4PM Saturday, January 28, at the Chandler Funeral Home and Cremation Service, 26 W. Dwinal Street, Mechanic Falls. In lieu of flowers, donations to help with his life celebration can be sent to Lorraine Galgano, 94 Bragdon Rd., Poland, ME 04274.
