Theresa Skinner of Dover passed away, Monday, January 23, 2017 at St. Francis Hospital, Wilmington. She was 77. Mrs. Skinner was born December 26, 1939 in Lafayette, New Jersey to the late Walter Mikus and Ruth Treible Mikus. She worked for 20 years as a Design Engineering Supervisor for DuPont Louvier’s Plant. Mrs. Skinner was a member of Holy Cross Catholic Church and Modern Maturity. She loved bird watching, animals, especially her dog “Max” and going on trips with her friend Ann. She enjoyed football, and was a longtime fan of The Dallas Cowboys. Mrs. Skinner is survived by her husband of 58 years, Patrick Skinner of Dover; daughter, Deborah Hibbert and her husband Michael of Dover; sons David Skinner and his wife Kathie of Bear and Gary Skinner of Dover; brother, Jerry Mikus of Laceyville, PA. Memorial services will be held 12PM, Saturday, January 28, 2017 at Torbert Funeral Chapel South, 1145 E. Lebanon Road (Rt.10), Dover. Friends may call one hour prior. In lieu of flowers the family suggests contributions be made to a charity of your choice.
