Esther Elaine Johnson

Esther "Elaine" Johnson went home to be with the Lord May 11, 2020. Loving wife, Mom, Grandma, Great Grandma and a blessed friend to many who called her their flower lady; as she loved working in the greenhouses and gardens. She is survived by her loving husband of 69 years, Arthur Johnson of Bethel, PA. Son, John Robert (Laura) Johnson of Bel Air MD, daughters, Betty Jane (Richard) Charbonneau of Manchester, VT, Marilyn Montesano (Al) of Martinsville, NJ and Linda Anema of Changewater, NJ. Brothers, William and Albert Kingman, Sister Irene Marsh, 14 grandchildren, EJ, Matthew, Stephanie, Kelly, Amy, Danielle, Corrina, Kristen, Michael, Robbie, Erika, Malissa, Vicky and Jennifer. 11 great-grandchildren, Addy, Greyson, Afton, Dylan, Jude, Ophelia, Gianna, Aiden, Haleigh, Michael, Emily and many nieces and nephews. Proceeded in death by her son, Edward Johnson of ME, brother, Charlie Kingman of NJ, grandson, Jeffrey Charbonneau of VT, and son in law, Michael Anema of NJ. Elaine was born January 17, 1934 to William and Esther Kingman and raised in Three Bridges, NJ, then Warren, NJ where she met Arthur, the love of her life whom she married and raised her 5 children with. She loved spending time with her family and friends. Living the past 30 years in PA, she was a member of the Hamburg Bible Church in Hamburg, PA, where she loved her church family, but most of all she loved her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. Due to public gathering restrictions, services will be announced at a later date. For those who knew and loved Elaine you are encouraged to share a message, memory or story with the family on the Tribute Wall.
