Katherine E Trull-Martin Obituary

Katherine Trull-Martin, 60, of Morrill, Maine passed comfortably on January 15 2017. Her legacy is not one that could be easily captured or described, as she was dynamic to the point of complexity. Kate loved her family and friends, showing a fierce generosity and protection of them. She was kind and gentle, yet knew how to allow a person to struggle without letting them fail. She was a teacher- of words, life, living and so many other lessons. She was remarkably strong and believed in knowing how to do things, even if you didn’t have to. She was a cowgirl, a reader, a poet. Kate worked hard in an industry where women were scarce, proved herself successful and became someone who was able to hire and train others. Many have reached out to say how Kate gave them a chance that changed their lives. She forgave flaws, while still expecting that we put forth our very best. Katherine was mother to two girls, Anna (Quattrucci) Keller and Regina Quattrucci. She was “Nannie Kate” to five grandchildren: Katie and Dylan Keller, and Riley, Anna and Reid Woodbury. She loved her grandchildren fervently and they adored time with her; snuggling, singing, reading… the love she showed was a timeless comfort. Kate is also survived by her husband Norman C. Martin and stepson Ben Martin. Also by her sisters Dawn Trundy and Pamela Mehuren. She leaves behind many nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews. She always held a very special place in her heart for Amy Dawn, who in addition to being her “partner in crime” in younger years, was by her side for so many of her last days, bringing her laughter and memories when she needed them the most. Our mom will be missed so dearly, by so many. It is hard to put into words the many different things that she was to such a myriad of people. We should all take solace in knowing that Kate can now go and be all of the things she was, and wanted to be. She loved and helped so many, and she can be happy now. A celebration in Kate's honor will be held at 3pm on Friday March 24th at Bowen’s Tavern, 181 Waterville Rd, Belfast Maine. Please bring your very best stories and memories to share.
