Charles “Chuck” Henry Fuller, 80, is safely Home as of 11:15 pm, Sunday, January 15, 2017, after making that journey in the comfort of his Hot Springs Village, AR, home. He was born May 25, 1936, in Palestine, IL, the son of Lyle & Ellen Fuller. He is survived by his wife, Sara Sue, sons Troy (Shana) Fuller of Pflugerville, TX, and Matt Fuller of Hot Springs, AR; three grandchildren: Blake Fuller, Brittney Fuller, and Madison King all from TX; four brothers: Harold Fuller, Ken(Pat) Fuller, Bob (Susie) Fuller, & Leon (Amy) Fuller, all of the Portland, OR area; one sister, Donna Wilson of Palestine, IL and sister-in-law, Lois Bell of Brunswick, OH; as well as nieces, nephews, and friends from around the world. He was preceded in death by his parents and his brothers-in-law Carl Lee Wilson, Robert “Bob” Bell and sister-in-law Moira Fuller. After serving in the Pentagon for the U.S. Army, he finished his bachelor’s degree, and graduated from Eastern Illinois University where he had met Sara Sue Bell. They married on her birthday, October 26, 1963. After graduation he worked for Marathon Oil Company for 26 years from their offices in Findlay, OH, then Tripoli, Libya—the year Col. Gaddafi took over Libya (1969)—to New York City, to London, England, back to Findlay and finally in Houston, TX. After an early retirement, he took a job at Henderson State University in Arkadelphia, AR, as the college’s Business Manager, bringing his corporate experience to the field of education. Post retirement he could often be seen helping out in his son Matt’s restaurant, Central Park Fusion Cuisine, in Hot Springs, AR. Chuck was a man of God and had become one of the longest standing members of Village Bible Church in Hot Springs Village, AR. Memorials may be sent to Village Bible Church, 100 Ponderosa Way, Hot Springs Village, AR 71909. A celebration of Chuck’s life will be 1:00 p.m. on Monday, January 23rd at the Village Bible Church in Hot Springs Village, AR.
