Joshua Holden Barnwell was a student athlete and graduate of Claiborne
County High School at 17 years old.
He enlisted in the Army after graduation and began basic training on October
15, 2018 at Fort Benning.
He graduated basic training on May 7, 2019 and the same day, arrived at
Fort Hood, Texas to his first duty station.
He completed Desert training and earned his cavalry scout spurs.
He was a long time member at Victory Church where he was saved and
baptized at an early age, He later attended a Church Called Home before
leaving for the Army.
He is preceded in death by:
Uncle: Jason K Webb and a special great uncle, Danny Cottrell
Great grandparents: Harry and Lucy Pridemore, Carl and Florence Webb,
George Barnwell, and other great aunts, uncles, and cousins.
He is survived by:
His parents: Kristen and Tony Barnwell
Sister: Hannah Barnwell (Ethan Beason)
Fiancée: Carmen Farmer
Grandparents: Keith and Cindy Webb, Eddie and Betty Clark, Ray and
Virginia Reynolds
Great grandmother: Birdie Barnwell
Cousins: Hunter, Morgon, and Landon Webb, and several other special aunts,
uncles, and cousins.
Special lifelong families:
The Woodward’s, The Frost, Redmon, and Dean’s, The Manning’s, The
Cheek’s, The Pratt’s, The Bunch’s, The Hayes’s, The Nole’s, and The
Hopper’s.
