Virginia M. Lovato, entered into rest January 15, 2017 in Pueblo, Colorado. She was born to Antonio and Pasqualita Ortega, August 14, 1940, in Las Vegas, New Mexico. She was 76 years of age. Virginia is survived by her husband of 57 years, Herman A. Lovato, children, Michael (Jody) Lovato, Carla (Mike) Mayfield, Rebecca Lovato, Renee (Cary) Sierra, Julie (Enrique) Lujan, Albert (Marcella) Lovato, 16 grandchildren, 18 great grandchildren, sisters, Carmen (José) Apodaca, Martha (Ermie) Abeyta, Patsy (Gene) Sena, Christine (Walter) Truelove, Brothers, Tony (Nancy) Ortega, Carlos (Shirley) Ortega, sister-in-law, Rose Santistevan and numerous nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by her parents Antonio and Pasqualita Ortega, In-laws, Samuel and Chrisanta Lovato, grandson, Brett Lovato, great granddaughter, Nessa Muniz, brother, Levi Ortega and numerous brother in- laws, sister in-laws and nieces and nephews. Virginia loved to gamble and travel to New Mexico to visit family. She also enjoyed reading, dancing, Spanish, country and 50s music. Virginia especially loved getting together with her family and hosting holiday dinners. A 10:00 A.M. Rosary followed by a 10:30 A.M. Memorial Mass will be held Tuesday, January 24, at the St. Peter’s Catholic Church in Rocky Ford Colorado Johnson-Romero Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
