Berniece C. Patton, 89, of Lincoln, passed away Sunday, January 15, 2017. Born to Walter and Lena (Paulsen) Dieckgrafe on September 15, 1927 in Cook, Nebraska. Member of Northeast United Church of Christ, where she was active in the choir for 38 years. Berniece graduated from Cook High School in 1945. She worked for the Journal Star where she met her husband Gordon Patton. She later worked for Christensen Printing and retired after 23 years. She enjoyed volunteering at St. Elizabeth Hospital for many years. Berniece loved to cook, and was an avid husker football fan. She was a friend to all, but most of all she was a great wife, mom, grandmother and aunt. She is survived by her daughter; Vicki (Doug) Klein, son; Jon Patton, grandchildren; Neal Klein, Nora Klein, many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband; Gordon Patton, sister; Donna Lee Sears.
