Manuela R. Garcia passed from this life on Saturday January 14, 2017 at 6:15 pm.  She was preceded in death by her loving husband of sixty years, Manuel C. Garcia; and son Rocky Garcia.  Manuela is survived by her sons, Manuel (Shirley) Garcia, Daniel (Cecelia) Garcia; daughters, Virginia Garcia, and Angelina Garibay; grandchildren, Dora Garcia, Anita Van De Cotte, Lisa Farber, Adriana Garcia, Anthony Garcia, Anthony George, Francisco J. Mendoza, Angelina Mendoza, Robert A. Garibay, Manuel Garcia, Stephanie Garcia; 15 great grandchildren; sisters, Pauline Munoz, and Elida Gonzalez.  Manuela was born on January 9, 1931 in Asherton, Texas.  Manuela married the love of her life in 1950, and raised five wonderful children living in Chicago, IL. for many years.  She returned to San Antonio in 1986 to retire.  Mela, as she was affectionatly known to her many friends and family, was a nurturing mother, wonderful cook, and homemaker.  You will live forever in our hearts.
