Phyllis Marie Hanes Lansing Went to be with her Lord and Savior on Sunday, January 15, 2017 at the age of 87. Born July 4, 1929 to Clayton and Doris (Yocum) Balmer in Chelsea, Michigan. Phyllis was a graduate of Lansing Sexton High School class of 1950. She enjoyed bingo, reading books and collecting salt and pepper shakers. Phyllis was a sports fan and especially liked the Tigers, Pistons, Redwings and UofM. She also liked to travel and her favorite place to visit was Hawaii. Preceding her in death were her parents and husband, Donald Hanes. Surviving are her sons, Marvin Hanes, Melvin Hanes, Matthew (Shayna) Hanes; grandchildren, Keith Hanes, Jessica Hanes, Zachary Hanes. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, January 20, 2017 at Mt. Hope Presbyterian Church in Lansing. Family will receive friends for visitation on Thursday from 2-4 & 6-8 p.m. at Skinner Funeral Home, Lansing Chapel. For those desiring, memorial contributions may be made to Mt.
