Wayne Layton Semb

Wayne Semb, of Belgium, WI., age 77, passed away peacefully at his home surrounded by family on Saturday, January 14, 2017. He was born to Leonard and Clara (nee Moen) Semb on February 20, 1939 in Ettrick, WI. He married Annette (nee Hammer) in 1958 and together they had three children. In 1997, Wayne retired from Briggs and Stratton after thirty-three years of loyal service. Wayne loved to spend time with his family, especially his grandchildren, who were the light of his life. He will always be remembered for his great sense of humor and his ability to make others laugh. Wayne will be deeply missed. Wayne is survived by his children, Rhonda (Phil) Comstock and Scott (Linda) Semb; grandchildren, Andrew, Josie and Will; brother, Gene; sisters, Carol and Wanda; his loving and devoted partner, Nancy Walle and the Walle family; brothers and sisters-in-law, nieces, nephews and many other relatives and friends. He is preceded in death by his parents, his wife Annette, his son, Jeff; siblings, Roger, Ardys, Darrell, Lonnie, Sonja and Randy. A Memorial Service will be held at 11:00am on Saturday, January 21, 2017 at Elk Creek Lutheran Church (W16316 County Road OO, in Osseo, WI., in the township of Hale). Interment will immediately follow the service. A special thank you for all the care and support his medical teams have given over all the years and a very special thank you to Dr. Terry Spears-Barnett and her staff.

Wayne always had a ready smile and a joke for you. I would hear a silly joke and immediately think of Wayne, and how much he would enjoy it. His happy presence will be missed.
