Patricia Mary Nachtigal

Patricia Mary Nachtigal, 79, of Blue River died Sunday, January 15, 2017 at Gunderson Boscobel Area Health Care. She was born on November 25, 1937 in Kenosha the daughter of John Peter and Sophie Ann (Lapcewich) Kwicinski. Patricia attended catholic elementary school and graduated from high school in 1956. On April 11, 1959, Patricia was united in marriage to Edward L. Nachtigal. She enjoyed reading, crocheting, and sewing. Patricia loved spending time with her family, especially her children and grandchildren. Patricia is survived by her husband of 58 years, Edward; son: Steven (Mary) Nachtigal of Soldiers Grove; daughters: Connie Bender of Boscobel, Joanne Govier of Lancaster; 9 grandchildren: Heather (Dave) Frank of Richland Center, Tricia (Matthew) Schultz of Cashton, Alyssa Nachtigal of Soldiers Grove, Emilee Nachtigal of Soldiers Grove, Aaron (Kate) Bender of Columbus, Andrew (Alisha) Bender of Boscobel, Cera Bender (special friend Logan Knoble) of Boscobel, David (Katie) Govier of Wrightstown, Krystin (Matt) Rutkowski of Fennimore; 6 great-grandchildren: Michelle and Ezekiel Schultz, Mason and Emma Rutkowski, Maddie and Charlie Govier; sister: Kathleen Rothrock of Minnesota; sisters-in-law: Diana (Mike) Bongard of Madison, Marvalene Nachtigal of Blue River; many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Patricia was preceded in death by her parents John and Sophie Kwicinski, son-in-law Michael Bender, father and mother-in-law: Ed and Esther Nachtigal, and brother-in-law Robert Nachtigal. Funeral services will be held on Friday, January 20, 2017 at 11:00 AM at the Pratt Memorial Chapel in Richland Center with burial to follow in the Czech National Cemetery. A visitation will be held on Friday, January 20, 2017 from 9:00 AM until the time of the service at 11:00 AM. The family suggests memorials in Patricia’s name be directed to the Blue River Rescue Squad, 201 W Exchange St., Blue River, WI 53518. The Pratt Funeral and Cremation Service is assisting the family with their arrangements.
