Mary Jo Coy, 92 HARTFORD CITY – Mary Jo Coy, 92, passed away at 9:48 p.m. Saturday, January 14, 2017 at IU Health Ball Memorial Hospital. She was born in St. Paul, IN on May 22, 1924 to Guy Grant and Francis Grant. Both parents preceded her in death. Mary graduated from Shelby High School in 1942. She married Coin Mondolian Coy Jr. in June 1942 in Shelbyville, IN. He precedes her in death in 2003. Mary was a member of Chesterfield Church of Christ and had been a member to several Garden Clubs through the years. She was a homemaker and had resided in Hartford City for the past 9 years. While living in Hartford City she attended Zion Lutheran Church. She will be sadly missed by her son, Christopher Grant (wife, Tiann J.) Coy of Hartford City; daughter-in-law, Vicki Coy of Indianapolis; grandchildren, Kean (wife, Joom) Coy, Kolby Coy (fiancé, Alex Tallentire), Meredith Coy, Emily Coy, Maggie (husband, Ben) Cooley, Chloe Coy, Sophie Coy, Faye Coy and great-grandson, Lennox Coy. She is also preceded in death by her son, Mark Weber Coy, sister, Betty Sever and brother, Guy Grant Jr. Mary will be cremated and a Memorial Service will be at 5 p.m. Wednesday, January 18, 2017 at Keplinger Funeral Home, 509 North High St. Hartford City with Rev. David Fleener officiating. Memorial Visitation will be from 3 to 5 p.m. Wednesday, January 18, 2017 at Keplinger Funeral Home. Cremains will be interred at Maple Wood Cemetery in Anderson at a later date.
