Donald Ray Betros, 81, of Hewitt passed away January 14, 2017. Services will be 10:00 a.m.,Thursday, January 19, at Wilkirson-Hatch-Bailey Funeral Home with Pastor Marvin Donnell officiating. Burial will follow at Oakwood Cemetery. Visitation will be 5:00-7:00 p.m., Wednesday, January 18, at Wilkirson-Hatch-Bailey Funeral Home. Donald was born in Waco, Texas, on May 31, 1935, to Sam and Willie May Betros. He served in the US Navy as an engineer. He worked for 38 years at Owens Illinois Glass Bottling Company. Donald was a member of the Scottish Rite of Freemasonry and Grand Lodge of Texas, Fidelis No. 1127. He was a long time member of Faith Temple Baptist Church. He is preceded in death by his parents; sister, Sady Shelburne; and brother, George Lee Betros. He is survived by his son, David Ray Betros; grandson, James Ray Betros; great-grandchildren, Steven Betros and Celia Betros; and sister, Mary Addle Lewis; and many nieces and nephews.
