Walter L. “Dub” Green, 80 years old of Waxahachie, eternally joined our Lord and Savior on Sunday, January 15, 2017 at 3:16 AM, at home surrounded by loved ones. Dub is survived by his wife Sherrie of 60 years, daughter Laurie Green Westlake and husband Steve of Italy, son Walter Scott Green and wife Deborah of Waxahachie, and grandchildren: Laney Green and Kaycee Green of Dallas, Ross Anderson of Waxahachie, Sam Westlake and wife Alyssa of Waxahachie, Mesa Westlake Delano and husband Graham of Denver, Colorado, Cassie Green Hill and husband Jared of Mansfield, Walter Bruce Green and wife Kerie of Waxahachie and eight great-grandchildren. Dub was preceded in death by their son Charles Bruce Green (Nov. 28, 1956 – Sept. 10, 2012) Born in Waxahachie, Texas to Walter LeRoy and Katherine Green, Dub was a passionate man who loved God, his family, and the outdoors. As an accomplished entrepreneur, he developed multiple businesses alongside his wife Sherrie, including the dearly-loved Studio for the past fifteen years. As well, Dub had a love for international ministry, supporting people from multiple countries, including a project close to his heart in Guatemala. Those who knew Dub know that he could light up a room with his smile and sense-of-humor. Dub was member of the Waxahachie High School class of ’55. He was also a member of Waxahachie Bible Church.
