Duane Cox, age 78, of Norman, AR, passed on March April 27, 2020 in Norman, AR. He was born May 20, 1941, in Norman, AR to the late MF “Cap” and Goldie Cox. He is preceded in death by both his parents, sister, Shirley Aston, infant sister, Wanda Cox and brother, Donny Cox. He was a graduate of Norman High School, did construction work and Mayor of Norman for many years. He spent his entire life in Norman, AR, mostly in service, having been a Deputy Sheriff, the City Marshall, and subsequently the Mayor for many years. He was Arkansas Volunteer of the year in 1989 He is survived by a son; Kerry Duane Cox and wife Angela, grandchildren; Kristen, Leigh and Colt Cox.
