Mr. Jerry Bernard Flemming was born April 23, 1949, to his parents, the late James Major Sr. and Rosa Lee Davis Flemming in Los Angeles, California.

He was raised in Birmingham, AL by his grandparents, the late Rev. Joe and Viola Davis. He attended New Castle High School in Fultondale, AL. He worked several jobs before                 becoming an OTR Truck Driver until his retirement in 2013. 

He is survived by: his devoted and loving wife Mrs. Faye Christian Flemming; daughters, Jeri (Tavares) Powell and Krystal (Justin) Monroe both of Austin, TX; grandchildren, Nadia, Chloe and Chase Powell and Bradley Monroe; sisters, Naomi Flemming, Alicia Bragg and Anita Blake; brother, Samuel Flemming, all of Las Vegas, NV; sister-in-law, Mattie Flemming of Detroit, MI; special cousin, Karen Winston-Fox and a host of relatives and friends.
