Margaret Vaught Hylton, 87, of Lynchburg, beloved wife of 63 years, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother passed away peacefully in her home Wednesday, January 11, 2017. She was the loving wife of William A. Hylton. Born January 25, 1929 in Montgomery County, she was a daughter of the late Clayton and Erma Kessinger Vaught. In addition to her husband, she is survived by a son, William A. Hylton, Jr. of Lynchburg; a daughter, Anna Lee Clark and husband, Ronald of Midlothian; three grandchildren, William Matthew Hylton and Mary Kristina Hylton of Lynchburg and Amanda Clark Lopez and husband, Pina of Midlothian; three great-grandchildren, Madisen Angelina Romero, Frank Anthony Romero and Liam William Lopez; a sister, Ethel Dillon of Christiansburg; a brother, Homer Vaught and wife, Maxine of Ironto; two very special friends, Becky Moore and Evelyn Moore; and other relatives and friends. Margaret was a member of Quaker Memorial Presbyterian Church for 58 years and a member of the Woman’s Circle at church. She was the past president of the Shriners Ladies Club; loved the Blue Ridge Mountains, gardening, flowers, dogs and cats, birds and all things outside. She loved being a grandmother and cherished her family. A funeral service will be conducted at 11:00 a.m., Saturday, January 14, 2017 at Quaker Memorial Presbyterian Church by Rev. Bart Edwards with burial to follow in Fort Hill Memorial Park. The family will receive friends from 10:00 a.m. until service time at the church.
