Michael Curtis Blankenship

MICHAEL CURTIS BLANKENSHIP, 55 years of age of Clintwood, VA, formerly of Buchanan County, passed away at his home in Clintwood, VA. Born in Richlands, VA, he was the son of Clara Jean (Thompson) Blankenship of Grundy, VA, and the late Jay Hugh Blankenship Jr. He was a longtime resident of Buchanan County and was of the Christian faith. He was a loving son, brother, uncle and pet owner. In addition to his father, he was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, Jay Hugh Sr. and Goldie Blankenship and maternal grandparents, Elsie and Ernest Thompson. Those left to cherish his memory include his mother, Clara Jean (Thompson) Blankenship of Grundy, VA; 2-Sisters: Jeanne (Lewis) Presley-Stiltner of Oakwood, VA, Sandra (Tony) Bostic of Manassas, VA; Nephews: Aaron Presley of Keen Mountain, VA, Eric Presley (Destiny Justice) of Sandlick, VA, L.J. (Amber) Stiltner of Rowe, VA, Adam Bostic of Manassas, VA; Niece: Sara Bostic (Bobby Eberhart) of South Riding, VA; Special K-9 Companion: Buttermilk. Graveside Services for MICHAEL CURTIS BLANKENSHIP will be conducted Tuesday, May 5, 2020 at 2:00 P.M. at the Stiltner Family Cemetery on Webb Branch, near Oakwood, VA, with Brother: Charlie Deel officiating. Friends may call at the Grundy Funeral Home Chapel Tuesday at Noon.
