Wendi Jo Wright

Wendi Jo Wright was born on September 14, 1978 in Stroud, Oklahoma and departed this life on April 29, 2020 at the age of 41. Wendi was born to David and Jodi (Banta) Glisson. She married Randle E. Wright on July 28, 2000 in Miami, Oklahoma. Wendi has been in the Stroud community all of her life. Wendi treasured being a mom and cherished any time she got to be with her family. She loved going to concerts and was always excited to have a good time with friends. She enjoyed being outdoors also. Wendi has been in the nursing field for 22 years and for the last three and half has worked at the Oklahoma Heart Hospital. She felt it was important to be able to take care of people, not just her patients, but also her family and friends. Wendi never met a stranger; she quickly became friends with anyone she met. Wendi is preceded in death by her grandparents Joe and Sally Glisson; her grandmother Paula Banta; and her father-in-law Randy Wright. She is survived by her husband Randy Wright; son Christian Wright; and daughter McKenna Wright all of Stroud, Oklahoma; her parents David and Jodi Glisson of Stroud, Oklahoma; sister Davi O’Donnell and her husband Sean of Stroud, Oklahoma; mother-in-law Marla Wright of Branson, Missouri; grandpa Don Banta of Stroud, Oklahoma; grandparents Clifford and Jessie Wright also of Stroud, Oklahoma and a host of aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews and many friends. A visitation will be held Saturday, May 2, 2020 from 8:00 am to 8:00 pm; Sunday, May 3, 2020 from 1:00 pm to 8:00 pm; and Monday, May 4, 2020 from 8 am – 3pm at Parks Brothers Funeral Service in Stroud, OK. A graveside service will be held at Stroud Cemetery in Stroud, OK on Tuesday, May 5, 2020 at 10:30 AM. Services are under the direction of Parks Brothers Funeral Service in Stroud, OK.
