Juanita (Juana) J. Zavaleta De Lopez Beverly, Massachusetts Obituary

Juanita (Juana) J. Zavaleta De Lopez

Juanita J. Zavaleta de López, 79, beloved wife of the late Víctor Julio López Morales, passed away Wednesday, April 29, 2020 at Beverly Hospital. Born in San Salvador, El Salvador, she was the daughter of the late Juan and Fidelina (Ortiz) Zavaleta. In her native country of El Salvador Juanita attended a vocational school where she learned to sew and became a seamstress. She dedicated many years working in the peace corps and brigades helping many local communities. Juanita had an artistic side and later became an arts and crafts teacher. In the United States Juanita worked hard for many years and eventually got her “Master’s in Education” from Cambridge College along with her late husband Victor. She spent several years working in many cities in and out of the Boston area as a social worker and she eventually became a Clinician always providing help and support to many families. “A constant inspiration in our lives, our mother sacrificed much in order to raise her four children. She will forever be an example of how it is possible to make a positive lasting impact on those you come in contact with in life. Our beloved mother Juanita will forever live on in our hearts and continue to shine in our lives as a lasting influence on her children and grandchildren. Mami, we will miss you, we are heartbroken and it is painful to let you go. But in our sadness we want to celebrate your life, you are amazing and will always be the brightest light in our eyes.” Juanita is survived by her sons and daughters, Victor López, Mirian Lopez-Garcia, Juan López and Celina López and by her three grandchildren, Astin López, Daniel Garcia and Christian Garcia. Funeral services for Juanita will be privately held on Monday May 4th 2020. Arrangements by the Campbell Funeral Home, 525 Cabot Street, Beverly. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Alzheimer's Association in her loving memory. Information, directions, condolences at www.campbellfuneral.com.

As a kid I heard my parents call your parents “comadre” and “compadre” so I thought those were there names. Los compadres ya están juntos de nuevo.
