Hugh Crawford Crosby, 73, resident of Richland, MS died April 28, 2020 in St. Dominic Hospital of natural causes. Hugh was born August 30, 1946 in Flora, MS. He is preceded in death by his father, Clifford Lester Crosby; mother, Mary Alice Crawford Crosby; wife, Bessie Jane Beard; wife, Neil “Nickie” Warren Davis Crosby and daughter, Debra Roxanne Shuler Richardson (Chuck). He married Bessie Jane Beard in October 1964 in Pearl, MS and later married on November 5, 1971 in Richland, MS to Neil “Nickie” Warren Davis Crosby. He attended Forrest Hill High School. He was a truck driver and worked at other jobs before getting a job at Siemens as a machinist where he retired. He was active in the community as a volunteer fireman, softball coach, and helping Nickie with the girl scout troop she led. He loved to travel and ride motorcycles. He is survived by his children Lisa Shields (the late Lewie Shields), Melony Crosby, Hugh Crosby, Jr. (Mary Crosby) and Robert Shuler (Annette Shuler), Grandchildren Thomas Richardson, Jordan Richardson, Kristin Shields Smallwood (Bella and Elisa Smallwood), Cameron and Mallory Shields (Aroha Shields), Ashley Crosby (Nicole Crosby and Chloe Allen), Robin Crosby, Kaylee and Charley Dile, Bo Crosby, Anna Bradley (Naomi Gober), Matt Bradley, siblings Victoria Vickie” Toombs (Ed), Lester Crosby (Janice), Neil Crosby (Virgil), Frances Dolan (Mark), and John Crosby (Carrey)and many other loved ones and friends.
