Susan Spola

Susan E. Spola, age 67 years, of Raritan Township, NJ passed away at her home on Wednesday, April 22, 2020. Born in Somerville, NJ on June 3, 1952, she was the daughter of the late Italo F. Spola and Gina (Bocchio) Spola. She worked here locally as a radiologist at the Hunterdon Medical Center, Raritan Township, NJ for many years. Her interests included listening to classical music; reading, especially Steven King novels, and watching sports, especially football and baseball. She enjoyed watching both pro baseball and little league when her friends and family were playing. Additionally, some of her other hobbies included crocheting and cross stitching. In addition to her parents, Susan was predeceased by her sister, Marilyn Hamilton. She is survived by her nephew, Bill Hamilton, of Holly Springs, NC and his wife Melissa, and their two children, Dexter, and Molly, all of whom loved Susan dearly. She is also survived by lifelong close friend Arlene Meyers and her family. A memorial service officiated by the Rev. Michael Atzert will be held at 1:00 pm on Saturday, May 8, 2021 at the Holcombe-Fisher Funeral Home, 147 Main Street, Flemington, NJ. Interment will follow in St. Magdalen Cemetery, Flemington, NJ. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in Susan's name may be made to Radiology Department, Hunterdon Medical Center, 2100 Wescott Drive, Flemington, NJ 08822, Attn: Leo Ryan.
