COOKEVILLE, TN-Family graveside services and interment for Mrs. Joan Rogers, age 85 of North Fort Myers, FL, will be held Wednesday, March 25, 2020 at Rodgers Cemetery in Putnam Co, TN. Bro. Kevin Daughrity will officiate. Mrs. Rogers died Friday March 20, 2020 at Villa Court Assisted Living in North Fort Myers. She was born January 22, 1935 in Detroit, MI to the late George Manjiuranes and Helen Callichy Manjiuranes. Following graduation from high school in Detroit, she traveled to Hill Air Force Base in Colorado where her soon to be husband was stationed. They married and lived in Detroit, Greensburg, Indiana and Ireland. Following her husband's death, she moved to Florida to be near her daughters Linda and Brenda and has resided in Fort Myers for the past 37 years. Joan was proud of her Greek heritage, remained fluent in the Greek language, and prepared delicious Greek meals throughout her life. She was talented at painting and crafting. She enjoyed visiting open houses to get ideas for decorating. Most of all, she enjoyed visiting with family. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Donald H. Rogers; daughter, Linda Helen Rogers; and by sisters, Joyce Stoumbus and Pat Elnan. She is survived by daughters, Brenda Graves of Mt. Juliet; son, Donald H. "Chip" (Kelly) Rogers, Jr. of Indianapolis, IN; grandchildren, Wesley Hulon Rogers, Jeffrey A. Graves and Nicholas D. (Christy) Graves, great grandchildren, Blakely and Cathrine Graves; and by sister, Kay Adelsburg of Farmington, MI.
