William Melvin Fields, 62, passed away on Friday, April 10, 2020, at Wedgewood Health Care Center. He was a Car Detailer at Bachmann Auto Group. His true passion was that of being an ordained minister. Melvin never met a stranger, no matter where he went. He will be remembered by so many friends. Especially, those lives he helped change for the better through his work at the Serenity House. He is survived by his sons Daniel Fields of Jeffersonville, IN, and William “Willy” Fields Jr. of Jeffersonville, IN; his sister Carolyn Baker and her husband Sandy of Jeffersonville, IN; brothers Charles Fields of Columbus, IN, and Darrell Fields of Jeffersonville, IN; along with many nieces, nephews, aunts uncles, and cousins. He was preceded in death by his father James A. Fields, Jr.; mother Alma Fields; brother James Fields III. Please leave your condolences for the family and friends of Melvin on the tribute wall.
