John “Scotty” Colquhoun Jr., 74, of Del Ray Beach, Florida passed away on April 6, 2020. Scotty was born to John Reid Sr and Sarah Stead Colquhoun on May 5, 1945 in Oceanside, New York. He attended Oceanside High School where he graduated in 1963. He was employed by Pan American Airlines in 1968 and was an Inflight Service Scheduling Supervisor, Senior Flight Service Scheduling Clerk, and Pilot Scheduling and Flight Dispatching Clerk. Most called him by “Scheduling Scotty” while he worked in the airline industry for nearly 40 years. Scotty was an avid traveler in his youth while working for the airlines. He loved playing acoustic guitar, writing songs, “betting the ponies”, and most of all spending time with his beloved grandchildren: Diane, Elliott, Graham and Angus. People knew him for his caring ways, biting wit and love of banter. He is preceded in death by his parents John Sr. and Sarah, sister Jean, brother Ed, and niece Heather. He is survived by his children, Scott Colquhoun and wife, Noriko Colquhoun, and Donna Jones and husband, Darren Jones, grandchildren, Diane, Elliott, Graham and Angus, brother James Colquhoun and wife, Francis Colquhoun and nieces and nephews. Due to the Coronavirus, a memorial service will be set for a future date. In lieu of flowers, please send donates in his honor to the American Heart Association and Breast Cancer Research Foundation.
