William James Calpin August 31,1981-December 11, 2016 Formerly of Middletown, NY William James Calpin, known lovingly as B.J. and Wheelchair Will to his friends and family, died on Sunday, December 11, 2016 peacefully as a result of a massive heart attack in Bloomington, IN. He was 35 The spirited son of Cindy Cockburn and James Joseph Calpin, B.J. was born on August 31, 1981 in East Stroudsburgh, PA. He attended Middletown Schools and was a lifetime area resident until his recent move to Bloomington, Indiana. He was working as a greeter for Bloomington Salvation Army. Will was a strong minded man who rose from adversity. He encountered many trials and tribulations throughout his life and was always able to meet the challenges put in front of him. He had a big personality and his short life was filled with much adventure. His family supported his recent journey to travel the country! He finally found a nice college town where he was enjoying his time ringing in the Christmas season for the Bloomington community. B.J. will be dearly missed, his life has left a mark on those who knew and loved him. In addition to his mom, Cindy Cockburn Daly of Pine Bush, and his father James J. Calpin; he is survived by his brother, Drew Calpin & his fiancé Jacki Econom; his two daughters,Jazzmin Calpin and Kamryn Joyner. Aunts Bonnie & husband Tom Gordon, Wendy Gates god mother & Nan & husband Gordon Worum & many cousins and friends. Cremation was private in Bloomington, IN.A Celebration of B.J.’s life will be held on Saturday, January 7, 2017. Visitation will begin at 3 pm. A Service will be at 4pm at St. John’s Lutheran Church, 391 Mt. Hope Road, Middletown, NY 10940. Pastor Peter Rustico will officiate at the service. Memorial contributions in B.J.’s name may be made to St. John’s Lutheran church 391 Mt. Hope Road, Middletown, NY 10940 or Salvation Army PO Box 2117 Bloomington In 47404
