Silverio Sil Mazzella, DMD, 60 passed away April 3, 2020 from complications of Covid-19. Sil was born on December 21, 1959. He graduated from Fordham University and went on to earn his Doctor of Medicine in Dentistry from Boston University.
Sil was a fun-loving, sincere, caring man who always put family first. Spending time with his wife and taking part in his children''s activities was top priority. He enjoyed Yankee and Ranger games, especially with one of his many long-time buddies. Sil played floor hockey for many years with his legendary team know as THE FOG and was also a member of the Knights Of Columbus bowling league for many years where he recently bowled a perfect 300. He found peace in gardening, had a passion for cooking, enjoyed discussing history, current events and always had a story to tell.
Sil was a devoted husband to Marilyn (Liscio) Mazzella, loving father to his beautiful daughters Kristen, Lauren and Jessica, son of Dr. Luigi, and Stella Mazzella, (previously deceased), and beloved oldest brother of Louis, John, David and Jennifer (Cassidy). He is also survived by many cherished nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins, and extended in-law family.
Due to the current situation, we are unable to have a traditional wake and funeral. There will be a gathering at a later date to honor and celebrate Sil.
