Albert Gregory was born in Oxford, North Carolina on November 24, 1924 to Nelson L. and Lena Gregory. He peacefully departed this life on March 20, 2020. Albert went to Oakwood Avenue Elementary School and graduated from Orange High School. He then went into the United States Navy. When he was in the US Navy he was stationed at Great Lakes Illinois. As a youth, Berdis enjoyed swimming at the YMCA that was near their house on South Street in Orange. Berdis loved to play basketball and he loved to play horseshoes in the horseshoe pit that they had in the back of their home on South Street. Also was predeceased by his wife Helen Jean Gregory, his mother Leona Lee and father, Nelson Gregory, his 2 children Sharyn Gregory-Booker and Arthur L. Gregory and his brother, Pete Gregory. Albert will be remembered and cherished by his sister Gertrude Tyler, 8 grandkids, 19 great grandchildren,10 great great grandchildren, other relatives and friends.
