Myra Joan Craig 84 of Orange Park, Florida passed away on March 25, 2020. She was born August 10, 1935 to Albert and Florence Schaffhauser in Ft. Wayne, Indiana. Myra was a parishioner of Mary Queen of Heaven Catholic Church. She moved to Florida following her retirement in 2006. Myra worked as a librarian for the US Army Corps of Engineers for 42 years. She started this position in Tulsa, Oklahoma and relocated to Falls Church, Virginia/ Washington, DC office in 1986. She was an avid reader and enjoyed working on all kinds of puzzles. Myra had a strong love for animals. She always had a smile on her face and a kind word for everyone. She truly lived by the principle, “If you can’t say anything nice, don’t say anything at all.” The Catholic faith was a constant in Myra’s life from the beginning. Most important to her were her family and her friends. Everywhere she lived, she quickly made lifelong friendships. Myra is survived by her daughters, Cydney Allsbrook and Bridget Loy and husband Lee; 5 grandchildren, Steven Craig and wife Lucia, Shila Cole and husband Dustin, Christopher Allsbrook, Emily Gibson and husband Riley, and Elisabeth Allsbrook; 8 great-grandchildren and a host of nieces, nephews and other loving family members. Myra was preceded in death by her husband, Dwayne, her son, Richard, her son-in-law, Joel Allsbrook, her parents and her sisters, Jeanne Buchan, Ellen Schwartz and Anne Tieman.
