She had no time to complain because she was too busy being grateful for having another day to help someone or share time with her precious family. She will be remembered by ALL for her selflessness that guided her to help anyone in need. Mom called Handmaker Assisted Living home for the past several years. Her life at Handmaker abounded with activities and socializing with friends at meal times. The Darmody family wants to personally thank the staff of Handmaker for treating our “mom” as a family member and not just a resident. Everyone from the receptionisht, to the servers, the caregivers, nurses and the special people that ensured her apartment was always clean and neat just the way she liked it. A special thank you to the Skilled Nursing staff in the Bregman unit that lovingly cared for our mom in her last days. You all went above and beyond to care for her needs and we want you to know she loved each one of you. Truly, she was loved and respected by all. There are no immediate plans for a memorial service. We will have a celebration of life on Friday September 4th, which would have been her 102nd birthday or Saturday September 5th. Details to be determined, at a later date.
