Gerard William Drescher

Gerard (Jerry) William Drescher, SFC (USA & ID NG) departed this life into the arms of his Savior on March 20, 2020. Jerry was 69 years old, born in St. Louis, MO on November 26, 1950 to Robert and Regina Drescher. He married Peggy Enright of Emporia, KS on June 19, 1976. Jerry was a career Non-Commissioned Army Officer having served in Vietnam and later with Desert Storm. He retired from the Army in 1999 Beloved husband of Peggy who survives. Loving father of Jeremy (Bonnie) of Boise, Idaho, Kevin (Amy) of Cottage Grove, Oregon, beloved grandfather of Kayla, Kailee, Jonathan, and Logan, two brothers, two sisters, nieces, nephews and many other loving family members located throughout the United States and unable to attend his services. He was preceded in death by his sister, Carol and his parents. A restricted private family service is planned for Friday, March 27 with interment following at the Idaho State Veterans Cemetery. Military honors have been delayed due to the current Covid-19 situation. Services were entrusted to Summers Funeral Home of Boise. The family would like to extend a special thank you to the St. Luke’s Hospice Team for their care in his final days. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Boise Rescue Mission or St. Luke in Boise for their Hospice program.
