Patricia Gay Smith
Patricia Gay Smith (Geiger), age 90, of Hudson passed away Tuesday, March 24, 2020 after living with Alzheimer’s Disease for the past 14 years. Originally from Indianapolis, Indiana, she was a graduate of Purdue University with a B.S. in Microbiology. A long-time resident of Hudson, she was a volunteer EMT and paramedic with Hudson EMS in the 1980’s. As an avid birdwatcher, Pat often joined local nature groups on adventures through local and national parks. She was a member of the Audubon Society and other nature conservation societies. She is preceded in death by her husband, Lester William Smith, a daughter, Laura Ann Muratori and her parents William Morton and Mildred (Miner) Geiger. She is survived by her three remaining children Barbara Lynn Smith of Beverly, MA, Carolyn Marie Smith of Ft. Worth, TX, and David William Smith of Bath, OH; granddaughters Sophia Marie Muratori of Fairlawn, OH, and Sherri McMillian of Phoenixville, PA; and sisters Elisabeth Vaughn of Richardson, TX, and Virginia Garrison of Indianapolis, IN.
