Ennio Strizzi, age 90, of New Castle, PA, passed away Saturday, March 28, 2020 at his son’s home in Charlotte, NC. from the end of his battle with congestive heart failure. He was born in 1930 to Gabriele and Adelaide Strizzi, from Roccaraso, Italy. He is predeceased by 3 brothers, and is survived by 2 sisters, Maria and Renata, and brother, Walter, and all their families and relatives in Italy. He was the beloved husband of the late Dorothy (DeSalvo) whom he met while visiting his uncle in the US in 1956. He learned to speak English, and he became a proud United States citizen in 1957. They shared many happy years of marriage together until her sudden passing in 1992. He worked for over 3 decades with Mesta Machine Company as a Crane Lift Operator above the molten steel at the mill. He is the cherished father to 2 sons, Gabriel (and Barb), Patrick (and Kathleen), and daughter Lori (and Phillip) Muchlada. He is survived by 3 grandsons, Kristopher (and Tiffany), Adam, and Tyler. He is predeceased by grandson, Victor. He is the great grandfather to Adalyn and Ava. He also leaves behind many wonderful cousins, nieces, and nephews. At this time, a gathering for funeral viewing is not permitted due to the highly contagious CoronaVirus pandemic. Davis Funeral Services in Monroe, NC has assisted for Ennio’s return home to New Castle. R. Cunningham Funeral & Crematory Inc., in New Castle, PA, will provide all other assistance and burial at St. Vitus Cemetery on Friday, April 3.
