He met the love of his life, Shari (Hanratty) Zakielarz, in 1977. They were married on November 28, 1980, and shared almost 40 blessed years of marriage. Chris was a devoted husband, whose sun rose and set around his wife. Chris’ dedication to his family was unwavering and unquestionable. He was the founder and President of Brinton Building Services, Inc. Chris had a kind, giving spirit; family and friends recount selfless acts that showed his true compassion for others and his protective nature. Chris’ bright smile and sense of humor quickly and easily attracted others, as he left lasting impressions upon his many friends and acquaintances. He loved playing softball throughout his life, including playing in leagues as a child and an adult, coaching his young children’s teams, and playing in leagues with his children when they were grown. Chris had a love for music, and was often seen drumming, singing, or dancing. Cremation rites have been accorded, and a memorial celebration of Chris’ life will be held at a later date, to be shared following cessation of the current state of emergency restrictions. Donations in Chris’ honor can be made to the Alzheimer’s Association.
