William H. Propst III

William H. Propst III, age 66 of Edison ,NJ passed away on Friday March 20, 2020 at his home. William (Bill) was born in Camden, NJ but grew up in South Brunswick, NJ and moved to Edison in 1979, where he has lived for the past 41 years. Bill was an engineer for Market Halsey Urban Renewal in Newark. He was a loving father and devoted husband, married 44 years to his wife, Maria. Bill had a great sense of humor and a smile that could brighten up a room. He loved to learn new things with his beloved, Maria. When you met him, he would never forget your face. His laughter was the best; he always had a funny joke or story to tell. He was beyond giving; he helped homeless people and had empathy for people less fortunate. He loved and inspired his son in career and life in which they shared a very special bond. Prior to his illness, Bill was a talented artist, a sports car enthusiast, as well as a passionate antique collector. He belonged to the Guardian Angel Church in Edison, NJ William was predeceased by his parents, William H. Propst II and Emily Propst (Gill). He is survived by his wife Maria; a son, William IV; his half-brother James Gill, along with nieces and a nephew. William will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved him. William was privately cremated and a celebration of his life will be held at a later date.
