Donna Marie Gorney, former longtime resident of Eastpointe, Michigan, passed away Wednesday, March 25, 2020 while receiving hospice care at age 71 in Milford. She was born to Henry and Genevieve Gorney on January 11, 1949 in Detroit, MI. She lived a fulfilling life as a daughter, sister, aunt, and friend. She will be missed for her loving smile and gentle nature. She loved The Beatles, dogs (especially a West Highland White Terrier named Chelsea), reading, latch-hook rug making and spending time with her family. During her time in Eastpointe, Donna and her mother walked almost everywhere they went and were active parishioners of the Saint Veronica’s Catholic Church. Ms. Gorney is survived by her nephews, Darren (Emily) McKinnon and Gavin (Diana) McKinnon and her great-nieces and nephews Eve, John, Cora and Louis and Helen.
