Michael Wayne Sellers, age 54 of Whiteville, passed away early Thursday morning, March 26, 2020 at the Lower Cape Fear LifeCare Center in Whiteville, NC. Michael was born on May 13, 1965, in Concord, NC. He was preceded in death by his father, Leroy Sellers, Sr. and his brother, Jamie Sellers.  A service celebrating Michael's life will be conducted at 5:00 p.m. on Saturday, March 28, 2020, in the Worthington Funeral Home Chapel, with Rev. Roger Coffey officiating.  Visitation will be held from 4:00-4:45, prior to the service.   To cherish his memory, Michael leaves behind his beloved wife, Kia Fenner Sellers, of the home; his mother, Brenda Sue Strickland Buffkin (Lane), of Whiteville; step-mother, Rhonda Sellers, of Whiteville; nine children, Michelle M. Jamison (Mike), of Chadbourn, Michael Wayne Sellers, Jr., of Whiteville, Joshua Sellers, of Whiteville, Trystan Byrd, of Chapel Hill, Jamie Sellers, Kameron Sellers, Landon Sellers, Mikah Sellers, Nolan Sellers, all of the home; siblings, Rachel S. Huggins (Jamie),of Whiteville, Kelton Williams, of Ocracoke Island, Buddy Sellers, of Whiteville; nine grandchildren. Worthington Funeral Home is serving the family.
