Eddie Lee Currie, 81, of Decatur, IL departed this life on March 20, 2020 at his home.  Eddie was born on August 22, 1938 in Brownsville, Tennessee to Eddie Currie and Gussie Currie.  Eddie lived in Brownsville, TN as a child where he attended high school, then later moved to Decatur, IL. Eddie retired from Wagner Casting Company after working for 35 years, as an iron pourer. Eddie loved sports! He enjoyed watching baseball and was a huge Dodgers Fan. Eddie was the jack of all trades when it came to cars. Eddie enjoyed working and painting cars. He also enjoyed watching race car races. Out of all the things he enjoyed in life, his most precious time was spent surrounded by family. Eddie leaves to cherish his precious memories of his children, daughters: Thelma Mathews, Beverly Currie, Vivian Hines, Lisa Currie, Rebecca Currie, Chelsea Currie, Kelsea Currie, Terrilynne Currie, Son: Aaron (Dysa) Currie, sister: Annie Sue Currie, Grandchildren: Cory McCoy, Jaynaia McCoy, JaKandria Sanders, Lakia Rolling, Shalonda Barbee, Aquila Currie, Courtney Currie, Michael Currie, Terry C. Theus, Aaliyah Currie, Jimmisha and Jimmerra Johnson, Auyburielle Hines, Danielle Hines, a host of grandchildren and great grandchildren, special cousin: Johnnie Ricks.  Eddie is preceded in death by his parents, son, brother, paternal grandmother and grandfather.
